Today is a very special and difficult day for Tauro.

Renato Zanon Santon, Livio's father and historic founder of the company, has left us.

Renato conceived, designed on paper and built the first horizontal flow dryer more than 30 years ago. Convinced of the goodness of the concept and the values that emerged from it, at a time when there was still no talk of 'bio', of self-production, of limiting waste, he perfected the design, invested in its realisation and marketed the dryer, which he called Biosec.

As it is still called today.

We owe what we are now to his far-sighted ideas, his vision of the future, and the stubbornness with which he believed not only and not so much in a product, but in a philosophy of life devoted to saving energy, valuing natural products and reducing waste.

Values that now prove to be absolutely contemporary, and which we try to honour and keep in mind in our daily work.

We are certain that anyone who knew him can confirm the strength of Renato's ideas, vision, passion and deep humanity.

His qualities have been and always will be our foundation.
